Jake has spent his career building brand systems for businesses ranging from early-stage startups to established New Zealand and international brands — including Krispy Kreme, Mitre 10, and Alba Beverage.
The pattern he kept encountering: brands delivered well, then broken by the people meant to use them. Not through carelessness — through unclear systems. Guidelines written for designers, not the business owners who needed them.
